Originating in Mount Isa, Own The Rock Academy was built on the values of hard work and resilience — represented in our logo’s pickaxes and reflected in our approach to player development.

 

What started as a small regional initiative has now reached more than 30 towns, delivering high-energy clinics and empowering hundreds of young athletes across Queensland and New South Wales.

Today, while our international OTR Select Tours program leads the direction of the brand, the Academy remains an important part of what we do. Between overseas tours, we continue to run local clinics and training sessions, giving regional players access to quality coaching, strong fundamentals, and the same mindset we bring to the global stage.

The Academy is about building confidence, skills, and passion for the game — and ensuring young players in rural communities don’t miss out on opportunities to grow.
